A catch-all feature that is activated for a given mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. To state it differently, if you deactivate an email address and somebody still sends an email to it, or to any miswritten email address under the same domain, you’ll receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be vital if you are running some business, for instance. Since you may start receiving junk messages, you can use the catch-all option with email filters so as to get only real email messages in your inbox. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

Configuring a catch-all e-mailbox will be surprisingly easy if you have a shared website hosting with our company. You can activate the feature through our powerful, yet simple-to-work-with Email Manager tool, which is integrated into the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll administer your shared web hosting account. You’ll see all the mailboxes that you have created listed alphabetically and on the right side of each of them there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will instantly notify you if a certain mailbox stores all the messages for a certain domain name or not. With a single click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this feature at any time. In case there’s active email forwarding or in case another mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a certain domain, you will receive a notification from our system. The latter won’t deactivate/replace anything automatically or without your permission.
